I burned 747 calories per hour (or 373 calories my first time doing this workout) and each time I do this workout I always try to match the same calorie burn or higher.

If I don’t get the minimum 373 calories then I punish myself and do an extra 10 minute set. I don’t want you to focus on burning calories but focus on the calorie readout as a way to make you work harder because the more you kick your own A$$ = the faster you’ll lose weight.

You don’t have to use the calories as a guide. You can use the strides per minute to make sure you keep the same high speed throughout the entire workout or you can use the total distance covered.

This workout is made up of 3 TEN minute sets where you alternate between 45 & 30 second burst with a 60 seconds all out burst at the end but your rest periods get shorter & shorter each time going from 30 seconds all the way down to 10 second breaks.

You also do not need an elliptical to do this workout. You can also follow along on a treadmill, bike or any other piece of cardio equipment OR you could do it without exercise machines by running back and forth (see this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xfa197Xkvd0), running in place, jumping jacks or ski steps (see this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lq4JVmbmi7E )

Here’s the layout of the workout…

• Go All Out for 45 Seconds
• Rest 30 Seconds
• Go All Out for 30 Seconds
• Rest 20 Seconds

• Rest 10 Seconds

You can of course modify this elliptical workout to make it harder or easier to suit your fitness level but either way you’re better off doing one of my easier elliptical workouts or one of my more intense elliptical workouts if this workout ends up being too hard or too easy for you.

If you’re not doing this elliptical workout along with my DVD or on YouTube then it is a good idea for you to go and download the mp3 that accompanies the workout

  1. Excellent workout – day 2, would prefer it with your voice only and not the music, also would love it if you said go each time we start a new set and I listen to this whilst my phone is in my pocket so it can be difficult to know when you have started to workout again, most of the time you do say but a few times you missed out saying it.
However thank you for the work out, started yesterday and love it .. managed to lose 100 calories yesterday and stayed till the end even though I was feeling sick after the first set .. second day it feels much easier. 👍🏼

  2. If I don't have an elliptical or bike, can I run on the spot instead? And how many days per week should I do it?

  3. Coming here from the "Lose 10 pounds this week" elliptical video to switch up my cardio. To my surprise, I did all 3 sets! If you have any doubts, these videos work!!

  4. First time watching doing this workout. I sweat so much and I just barely completed the whole workout.. but I really needed to push myself. I even did this workout far away from everyone else at the gym bc I was afraid of how I might look when I did it..honestly it didn’t matter what other thought of me while I was doing this…bc when I left the gym..I was the one who was drenched after working hard and that’s all that mattered.. This workout was a game changer for me. Running on the treadmill with knee pain is not ideal..but this workout is IDEAL for my lifestyle and I am amazed on how much my body worked doing this exercise…when you feel like your gunna puke after an exercise..you know it’s working lol

  5. What level/incline are you working at? I did this program — and, yes, it kicked my ass — but it was nowhere close to 747 calories burned on my SoleE35 elliptical.
