  1. It's not the diet soda. People that drink diet soda are generally overweight already and have garbage diets. Diet soda is definitely better for you than sugary soda.

  2. “Prevailing theory” this says it all. No one knows anything about the effects of aspartame in diet soda and there are professionals and experts arguing both sides everywhere you look.

  3. Alright, so the people who drink diet soda tend to weigh more…. maybe they drink diet soda because of that so they are trying to lose weight? The diet soda by itself doesn't make you gain more weight. It doesn't put a gun to your head and say "Eat more sugary food". Here's an idea if you're thinking about eating something sweet when you know you shouldn't….. don't.

  4. if diet coke is bad just because it appetites you more, all the entree food in the restaurant is bad. there are foods and drinks that actually do worse than diet coke such as orange juice or milk
