  1. Very true! I’m almost 4 weeks post op and am confused as to WHAT I can eat. Right now I am on plastic fork tender foods.

  2. I've just started this journey. Wish my surgeon was this way. In out next. That's how long my first visit went. This helps so much. Any suggestions on eating habits before the big day. I've got 6 months to prepare. And last month I gained 4 lbs. Also you have to intake so many grams if protein a day. How is that possible? Any suggestions? Should I be replacing any meals with a shake?

  3. I’m four months out and I can eat just about everything except bread. I tend to eat more1-3 . Having said that I stay much fuller when I eat 5&6 foods.

  4. We had 6 x1hour Dietician meetings per month then a Seminar for 1 hour to discuss the various operations plus leaflets on post OP eating. We receive the main post OP food before discharge post OP. We have monthly meetings at the hospital for pre & post op patients run by patients with Dietitian input if we want to go.

  5. I'm sorry but around here you just (at least we haven't) EVER found a Surgeon this cool! Intelligent, sure but, again, NOT THIS AWESOME!!! Plus, what Surgeon (it's not many anyway) takes time away from their bust crazy stressful schedule to make a vid where so much care n love is shared?!?! Anyway, thank you Dr. V. your vids are helpin me TREMENDOUSLY in my process toward the sleeve and thank you for just being you πŸ’šπŸ’œ

  6. My mind is very powerful. So true… thank you. Sadly, my family is not supportive. Thank goodness for your video, it gave me hope, you are my Mentor πŸ‘

  7. I’m ten years post weight loss surgery, and a firm believer patients/people need to take ownership. I did liquids for 6 weeks and the rest was common sense. Thank you πŸ’•πŸ’•

  8. I can’t imagine feeling hungry after having 85% of your stomach removed. I’m pretty strict with following the rules. I have had fast food but it was just beans.

  9. I'm from the UK. I had my sleeve 12th July 2019. I had it done on the NHS so no cost. Our programmes are very good, it takes over 12 months to to finally get on the list. And then you wait about 8-12 months for your surgery. We were given a booklet that explained everything about the surgery to the diet. Post surgery my stages of eating are

    2 weeks fluid diet

    1 week puree

1 week soft/mashable, the end of the week start gradually eating more solid food.

Our list of foods were great, I didnt have any complaints.

  10. The doctor forgot lamb, grass fed and delicious with garlic, slow roasted. There is a farmer near most cities who will sell you a fresh lamb. Or New Zealand lamb at most big grocers.
