    I wonder if it is worst doing ONLY nightshifts as it is unatural but doing shift work (7am to 3pm / 3 pm to 11 pm/ 11 pm to 7 am) randomly and sometimes all 3 in the same week is not *worse*.

    Messes circadian rythm so bad and you are constantly adjusting to or back from a different shift sleep and meal time wise. Have done this type of work nearly for a year now and have never done ALL night shift so can't say but seriously think it is worse.

    P.S: Do we still burn less calories if the night shifts are MUCH more active? (Cleaning, lifting boxes etc.)

Tried small meals an always hungry intermittent fasting was the key for me night shifts are crazy bad since I have type 2 diabetes high blood pressure since fasting blood pressure optimal no more cravings and weight loss, in a very short period. Good information on hormonal reaction to night shift also metformin really helps me with the blood sugars.
