Best Daily Bags: 5.11 Rapid Quad Zip Pack

Review of the 5.11 Rapid Quad Zip Pack which has quickly become one of my favorite new EDC bags. It has an awesome look, great organization, quality, and it is super comfortable to wear. On top of that it has a pretty reasonable price and even has enough space to use for a quick weekend trip.

  1. At 13:07. I see things the other way about the water bottle holder on the outside. 5.11 usually never have water bottles on the bags because there is an endless amount of attachments you can get for it. I am so, SO glad it is on the inside. Also, i made my own for my 5.11 Rush 12, which is the best everyday back in the world and trust me, i had a lot!!!

Edit: thank you for the review ! It’s great

  2. I have a behemoth HP ZBook 17 laptop for work. The dimensions are 1.33" x 16.37" x 10.7". Do you think it would fit in the laptop compartment of this bag?

  3. Honestly I see those zippers as the weak link in this modern bagpacks. I can see the convenience of clam opening but once they fail everything will fall off your bag and the one that open half way at least it will keep holding your belongings inside.

  4. Great review overall. You forgot to mention the large velcro patch in the back compartment, It is used to attach a velcro holster from conceal carry.

  5. Have been watching lots of bag reviews on youtube lately and have enjoyed your reviews as you seem to have a similar carry style to me. Was after a versatile bag to use as a daily commute as well as being able to use as a weekender. Was really interested in the Evergoods CPL24 but they are out of stock til July so I bit the bullet and ordered one of these. Just wanted to say thanks for your reviews – really helpful! On another note, have you had a chance to check out the Battalion 24hr by RecycledFirefighter? Looks like a cool bag and a bit similar to the CPL24. Anyways, keep up the good work.

  6. Nice & detailed review .. thanks
i m looking for a medium size affordable (<$50) backpack WITHOUT the laptop compartment so i can carry an extra jeans and a couple of shirts, means the main compartment should be large without any partitions on the inside.
Not looking for duffel, sling or wheeled carry-on. I've been looking for a few days but most of them have laptop areas and the front loading ones are too big.. I would appreciate any help … thanks

  7. very good in depth review of the bag. 5.11 seem to have some very good bags in their line up. sturdy and good value. what are the dimensions of this bag?
