  1. Maybe it's just me, but I've never seen an insurance company that didn't put the screws to you. Always some exception, some fine print, some deductible, depreciation expense, exclusion, or other way to cheat you out of what you THOUGHT you paid for. They didn't get to be the richest entities in the US, by being fair.

  2. The major reason I purchase travel insurance is for the medical coverage. Your US health insurance policy is worthless outside of the US. If you need medical attention on the ship or at a port, they are glad to charge you the US uninsured rate. Even if the county has universal health coverage. If you need to be evacuated back to the US for medical reasons, it can run you up to $50K. I only travel insurance with at least $50K of coverage.

  3. Changing ports just happened to us last week. All my daughter wanted for her 40th BD was to go to Bermuda (it was to be 2 overnights). We were rerouted to 3 Bahamas ports and ended up not going to the last due to the storm. There were 6 of us on this trip and we all had an extra $70 to spend onboard due to refunded port charges. We had a great time.

  4. Great information! Thank you. I’m praying for the people in the path of the hurricane. πŸ™β€οΈπŸ™β€οΈπŸ™

  5. Awesome. This information came at the perfect time. My daughter and I are cruising to Cuba from Miami in 4 weeks. Thank-You
