Alsie Express ATR72 arrival and departure at Copenhagen Airport – Denmark

Alsie Express ATR72 arrival and departure at Copenhagen Airport - Denmark

Back in April we uploaded a video which we called “BLACK OPS at CPH”. This video was in fact of the Alsie Express ATR-72 painted in black livery which operates a route between the two Danish Airports Copenhagen Airport (CPH) and Sønderborg Airport (SGD). Since then we have acquired a new Panasonic HC-VX870 4K video camera and once the opportunity again arrived to film this “Black Beauty” we took it. Conditions where not optimal for filming because of the winds but we think the result turned out ok (until next time). We would love to do an onboard flight report for this airline…

Alsie Express writes about themselves, “…Based in Sønderborg, Alsie Express is the aspiring airline of the borderline area. From here there are daily return journeys to and from Copenhagen Airport. Therefore, there is ample opportunity to experience what it means to travel with Alsie Express. Not only for the 35 minutes in the air, but also before and after your journey…”

This ATR 72-500 aircraft had her first flight in June 2008. Alsie Express took delivery of this aircraft in June 2013, prior to this the aircraft has been operated by AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines and Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC).

Wiki writes about the ATR 72, “The ATR 72 was developed from the ATR 42 in order to increase the seating capacity (48 to 68) by stretching the fuselage by 4.5 metres (15 ft), increasing the wingspan, adding more powerful engines, and increasing fuel capacity by approximately 10 percent. The 72 was announced in 1986, and made its maiden flight on 27 October 1988. One year later, on 27 October 1989, Finnair became the first airline to put the aircraft into service. Since then, at least 750 ATR 72s have been delivered worldwide…”

Wiki writes about Sønderborg Airport (Sonderborg Airport), “Sønderborg Airport (Danish: Sønderborg Lufthavn) (IATA: SGD, ICAO: EKSB) is an airport located in Sønderborg, Denmark. The airport opened in 1968 however the first flights in the area where in 1950 which were flown by Sønderjyllands Flyveselskab…”

Wiki writes about Copenhagen Airport, “Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup or Copenhagen Airport is the main international airport serving Copenhagen, Denmark, the entire Zealand, the Øresund Region, and a large part of southern Sweden…”

This aviation 4K footage is filmed at the popular Copenhagen Plane Spotter area called Flyvergrillen (A Burger Bar / Fast Food place with a big seating area to spot airplanes) which lies next to Copenhagen Airport (called Københavns Lufthavn or Kastrup Lufthavn in Danish) close to Runway 22 L and Runway 04 R. The footage is filmed with the Panasonic HC-VX870 4K video camcorder.

Panasonic writes about the HC-VX870, “Capture your vision in 4K video – Elevate your creativity with 4K video. Enjoy greater detail, HDR exposure and improved camera control with Level Shot Function and 5-Axis Hybrid O.I.S.+.”
